Best RV Rentals in Canada
Saskatchewan means genuine open-prairie driving — Grasslands National Park’s badlands and dark skies, and two very different cities in Regina and Saskatoon a few hours apart. Enter your postcode on the search page, set a collection radius, and you’ll see insured RVs, motorhomes and camper vans from owners and operators across Saskatchewan.

Every vehicle is listed by its owner — private owners and local rental businesses — and booked through our partner Outdoorsy, with insurance and payment protection on every booking.

RV, Motorhome and Camper Van Rental Across Saskatchewan

Owners list everything from compact camper vans and Class B RVs to full-size Class A and C motorhomes. Saskatchewan’s highways are long, straight and flat, so a larger motorhome is comfortable almost everywhere; the exception is the unpaved approach roads inside Grasslands National Park itself, where a smaller rig has the edge. See RV rental, motorhome hire and camper van hire for more on picking a size.

Best RV road trips in Saskatchewan

  • Grasslands National Park — about 4 hours from Regina via Highway 6 and 18, or 5.5 hours from Saskatoon. Badlands, black-tailed prairie dogs and some of the darkest night skies in Canada; fill up in Regina, Moose Jaw or Val Marie before heading in, since fuel is limited inside the park.
  • Moose Jaw — about 45 minutes from Regina. Tunnels, murals and a classic prairie small-town stop on the way to Grasslands.
  • Prince Albert National Park — about 2.5 hours from Saskatoon. Boreal forest and lakes, a genuinely different landscape from the southern grasslands.
  • The Regina–Saskatoon corridor — about 2.5 hours apart via Highway 11, an easy link if the trip covers both cities.

Driving and camping in Saskatchewan

Distances between towns are considerable and fuel stops can be sparse off the main highways, particularly around Grasslands National Park — top up whenever you pass a station rather than waiting. Summer thunderstorms can be severe on the open prairie, occasionally with tornado warnings; check forecasts if travelling June through August. Winters are long and genuinely cold, so the practical RV season runs May through September for almost everyone.

When to travel

Late June through early September is the practical peak window, when Grasslands’ campgrounds and visitor facilities are fully open. July and August are warmest and busiest; May, June and September are quieter with more comfortable driving temperatures.

RV rental Saskatchewan — FAQs

How far is Grasslands National Park from Regina and Saskatoon?

About 4 hours from Regina and roughly 5.5 hours from Saskatoon. Fuel up before you go — services inside and immediately around the park are limited.

Where can I pick up an RV in Saskatchewan?

Owners list vehicles across Regina and Saskatoon, the province’s two main cities.

When do Saskatchewan provincial park campsites open for booking?

Sask Parks reservations open in April, staggered by park. In 2026, seasonal sites opened on 13 April and nightly sites on 14 to 17 April, all at 7 am CST, with Buffalo Pound on 15 April and Cypress Hills on 16 April. Dates change slightly each year, so check Saskatchewan Parks and set a reminder for your park's launch day.

Can an RV stay at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park?

Yes. Cypress Hills straddles the Saskatchewan-Alberta border and is Canada's only interprovincial park. The Saskatchewan Centre Block, south of Maple Creek, is the resort area, with hundreds of campsites. It is a long drive from both Regina and Saskatoon, so plan an overnight stop on the way, and book through Sask Parks in April for summer.
